VINCENT BELL ACADEMY 

Our forward thinking academy has been designed and developed to offer contemporary, relevant and inspirational courses. Passion, commitment and technical excellence is at the heart of everything we do.

There is no finer beginning for anyone wanting to make their first mark in hairdressing. At Vincent Bell Academy we do things slightly different. For over 20 years we have been driven to provide courses that not only inspire, but that make a difference.

Like all strong foundations we believe that the deeper they go the stronger they are. Traditionally many would wait until year two before starting basic cutting, but in our salon which is one of Edinburgh’s finest and attracts clients from all over the world we start cutting in year one. This is because we want you to have a competent graduate stylist at the end of their training who is an asset to your business.

We want the candidate to have an understanding of all cutting and colouring techniques required for today’s fast-paced salon and this is why Vincent Bell Training is a forward thinking company.  Clients are now educated in colour and bespoke colour packages are now the norm in many salons so the young graduate stylist must have an understanding of all techniques and applications required. This is why they must be trained to level three. 

The vast majority of our candidates are trained to level three and follow the route of level two in 12 - 15 months and level three in 12 - 15 months. This is funded by Skills Development Scotland.

We also offer a selection of one day and two day cutting courses.
